What's new?   - This page was last modified on July 31, 2008

I have been working on a web site for my wife's cousin. Check it out at http://www.executiveoceansuites.com/  I used Dreamweaver for the first time. Because I need to learn it, you know? And this site could use a makeover one of these days.

I have added a review of the Matrox RT.X2 realtime editing platform and one for the tutorials "Matrox RT.X2 Revealed" by Jeff Pulera. If you are interested in the Matrox RT.X2, I hope this helps you.

Check out Jeff Schell's BLOG where he has lots of Premiere Pro tutorials you will find handy.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium and Master Collection are the current versions of the Adobe software you should be using. Read here and here.  I highly recommend getting the newest versions of all of the products.

Production Premium Design Center: Check out all of the great text based tutorials. And certainly check out the great and plentiful Video Tutorials.

I am pretty happy with the video quality of http://www.vimeo.com so try it out for yourself. Here is my test video. Notice the button in the lower right-hand corner that expands the video to full screen. You will see that the video is actually still HDV (1280X720) just as I submitted it.

AVCHD UpShift converts AVCHD to HDV for editing in NLE. Only $49.95 - check it out.

Looking for a female voiceover artist for your next production? Radio, commercials, industrial, retail, you name it.. Trish Bell is a professional worth checking out.

Doogs has a site for his Adobe Encore and Photoshop tutorials.

Check out these Premiere Pro titles from Tim Kolb. I think you will like them. Over 8600 downloads so far.

There are some decent free Premiere Pro 2.0 tutorials online by Ivan Barbarich.

Filmmaker Peter Jackson talks about manipulating color for added realism or setting the time of day in this Quicktime clip.

Check out the Digital Video Professionals Association site.

Check out "Cineform Unplugged" for a Blog by the CTO.

Want to take part in a video revolution? Get your videos on television? Really! Check this out: http://www.current.tv/

I came across a new source of instrumental production music by Erik Haddad, a Chicago area musician, teacher, and composer. Nice stuff. In fact, I used some of his music for my UWOL contest entries over in the DVInfo forums. Good stuff at reasonable prices.

My Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 tutorials are on Lynda.com - check them out!  The DVD is no longer available. (Insert sigh of disappointment here.) However, You can still view them online for $25 per month or buy the yearly service for a discount. Jeff Schell still has his 2.0 version DVD available. His online tutorials are available as well. And the new Premiere Pro CS3 version is online!

Funny stuff. Check this out! Post Production Humor.

Podcasts are the current big thing and getting bigger. Check out the Creative Cow Podcasts for Premiere Pro and After Effects. No iPod required.

I found the most amazing resource. Learn all kinds of things. At Learner.org. For free. With videos. Pick a topic from "American Cinema" to "The World of Chemistry". Free. Isn't the Internet a wonderful place? For K-12 and adult learners.

Read these PDF files and it will all become clear: See the Primer page at Adobe. They are all worth reading.

I enjoyed the Total Training "Adobe Premiere Pro Tips and Tricks" from Jacob Rosenberg. It is worth a look. These guys are the best. Check out the Total Training site for all your training needs.
